Cancer

The lifetime risk of cancer is now 1 in 3, and expected to hit 1 in 2 by 2030. Since 1970 the five year survival rate has barely changed from then 49% to now 54% surviving. In the US, more than a million are diagnosed each year and a half a million die from it and the10 year survival rate doesn’t look good. But it’s not all bad news. A lot of research is being carried out on the nutritional front and there is plenty you can do with your diet to help avoid getting cancer and get rid of it if you already have it. The articles on this page address some specific cancers such as breast and prostate and also look at what foods to increase and what to reduce to help reduce your risk.
